Overburn Motors was established by Dougie Ferguson in June 1966 and is still going strong, being one of the very few genuine family owned businesses still operating in Paisley.
From the very beginning the object was to provide first class service, and that is still the objective today. With modern car technology having moved on so much, modern day mechanics really are technicians who have to be computer literate, as modern cars like so many of our other day to day devices are operated by computer modules in one shape or another.
To that end, we have invested heavily in the latest computer diagnostic technology and can cater for about 90% of all modern cars. Gone are the days when a mechanic could simply listen to an engine and tell the customer what the fault was. Today we plug in the computer and it diagnoses the various modules and tells the technician what the vault is by utilising a fault code system. We can carry out this work on most makes and models of car.
All the staff at Overburn served their time with us as apprentices and are still working for the firm. This adds to a great working environment as all the team know each other and work well together. Each knowing how the other thinks and pulling together to form a great team. It also says something about Overburn that all the mechanics/technicians are still with us and staying a part of this great team after all this time.
